In May 1953 Sir Azantinlow, the Paramount Chief of the Bulsa, accepted the invitation to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in London. He was joined by Mr Abu Gariba, the former headmaster of Sandema Boarding School. The above photo appeared in the Daily Sketch on Monday May 25, 1953. The caption of the photo (Daily Sketch,1953) is completely misleading:

"Chief Abu Gariba, ruler of 500,000 people in the northern territory of the Gold Coast, looked imposing when he arrived in London for the Coronation. But his secretary was mor colourful".
