Bolgatanga, June 29, GNA - ...The ceremony [of ordination] was performed by Most Reverend Leon Kalenga, Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana with most Reverend Philip Naameh, Metropolitan Arch Bishop of Tamale and Most Reverend Joseph Osei-Bonsu, Bishop of Konongo-Mampong Diocese, as consecrators, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bolgatanga.

Bishop Osei-Bonsu after preaching the sermon on the works and evangelization of Saints Peter and Paul, advised the new Bishop to be a father to all in the diocese, visit them reluglarly, listen to their concerns and needs and be fair to all.

...He said factionalism and refusing to accept others was not good for the church, "We are all one people in the Church, we are one in Christ, special in the eyes of God and should be in peace with each other all the time".

...Most Rev. Kalenga asked the new Bishop to be at peace with everybody at all times, pray always and not only evangelise the word of God but let it reflect in his life.

Most Rev. Adanuty, Vice President of the Ghana Caƶtholic Bishops' Conference, on behalf of the Bishops, welcomed the new Bishop to their midst and said, "We will share your joy and pain".

Bishop Agyenta pledged to be faithful in preaching the gospel of Christ and guide the church in the way of salvation as a devoted father.

... The Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese covers the entire Upper East Region and eastern parts of the Northern Region.
