Recently the provisional results of the 2000 Population and Housing Census of Ghana appeared in a small brochure of 22 pages. We can read that the total population of the Bu(i)lsa District

amounts to 74,576 (males: 35,978, females: 38,598). Considering that Bulsa are also living in villages and towns outside the Bulsa District (Kunkwa...) and that very great numbers have found a residence in the big towns of Southern Ghana and even in foreign countries, it is not presumptious to estimate that the number of Bulsa on our earth totals approximately 100,000 or even more. fk
