Who on Earth is Interested in the Bulsa? (II)

The Bulsa Internet-websites 2018-19

After many technical problems, a new BULUK website started in the beginning of August 2018 (https://buluk.de/new or www.buluk.de/new). A counter was installed on August 8, 2018. Within the following year (until August 7, 2019), about 10,000 people interested in Bulsa society and culture visited this site (until November 2019: more than 16,000 visitors).
In contrast to the olde BULUK website (www.buluk.de) the countries of the visitors are not displayed in the new counter. On the other hand, the counter provides information about the number of visits to individual articles. For BULUK 11, the first (complete) edition of our journal on the new website, the three most read articles were:
1. John Agandin: The Bulsa Feok – Accra Chapter (169 visitors)
2. Christine Arnheim: Maaka Projects in Gbedema (130 visitors)
3. Franz Kröger: Bulsa Cultural Heritage and the Possibilities of Tourism (127 visitors)
There was also great interest in publications of the new website that were not linked to specific issues of Buluk, e.g.
1. Bulsa Bibliography (295 visitors)
2. Index Buluk 1-11 (232 visitors)
3. Bulsa History (174 visitors)
The strong demand for the new website might have suggested that the old website (Buluk.de) is frequented less and less, especially since all old editions of Buluk have been transferred to the new website. The opposite is correct. For the period considered, there was even an increase if the almost total loss of Indonesia visitors is not taken into account. The ranking of interested countries has changed little since 2018. The countries USA (382), Germany (142) and Ghana (122) are at the top. A few interested people from other countries have joined the group of visitors (Ukraine, Brasilia, Libanon, India, Poland and Bulgaria).
The frequent visits of the Bulsa websites from many countries of the world should encourage the editors and authors to go on providing people all over the earth with news about Bulsa society and culture.
