Australia Day is the official National Day of Australia. It is observed annually on 26 January and marks the 1788 landing of the First Fleet in Australia on behalf of the British Crown.
The Medal of the Order of Australia is one of Australia’s highest national awards “made for service worthy of particular recognition” and recipients of the prestigious award have OAM attached to their names.
A big name in his area of knowledge, Professor Sylvester Abanteriba has not only made Australia, the RMIT University, his colleagues, students, friends, and family proud, but he has also made Ghana, his country of birth, and his Bulsa origin extremely proud.
